The CTKJCTC is a residential program for adjudicated Bexar County youth offenders. The program is a part of the Bexar County Juvenile Probation Department and the program is structured to provide a therapeutic program in a structured environment. The program is designed to be self-paced by each resident with an average residency of nine months. The facility houses ninety-six residents, twenty-four females and seventy-two males. The residents attend an educatiuonal program provided by the East Central Independent School District and round the clock nursing staff from Correctional Health Care Services are on-grounds for resident needs. Progress of each resident is reviewed weekly by a treatment team made up of a resident's counselor, staff, probation officer, and school staff.
The mission of the Cyndi Taylor Krier Juvenile Correctional Treatment Center is to create and maintain a therapeutic, educational, and behavioral program within a safe and nurturing environment which will empower youth and their families to become healthy, contributing, and law-abiding members of the community.
